Alltimers and Vans Debut New Zahba Silhouette
An all-new, performance-driven silhouette joins Vans' lineup of skate-focused sneakers.
Vans has been busy as of late. With recent collaborations such as the Joe Freshgoods Sk8-Hi and GALLERY DEPT.’s Old Skool, fans of the veteran skate brand have a lot in-store for them this year. But perhaps, nothing is more exciting to a skater than the debut of a brand new performance-focused silhouette.
Introducing the Zahba, Vans’ latest innovation when it comes to the world of skate footwear. Presented by their longtime partners, the New York-based skateshop Alltimers, the first ever Vans Zahba comes dressed in an easy-to-wear all-white design.
In terms of its construction, innovation is the key. The silhouette uplifts the Vans VR3, using regenerative, renewable and/or recycled materials that make up at least 30% of the shoes construction. The new midsole is also made with 50% biobased EVA foam, partially derived from plants.
Debuting alongside the sneaker is the brand’s new ImpactWaffle outsole technology, offering SickStick rubber that improves flexibility and grip on the board. The toecap is also wrapped in rubber for added durability, while DURACAP stitching reinforces high-wear areas.
Subtle yet head-turning details on the Zahba features the Alltimers’ martini logo stamped on the heel of the shoe, while both brands’ logos are imprinted allover the laces, which comes in red, blue and silver. An accompanying dubrae featuring Alltimers’ text logo is also present on the vamp. Additionally, this collaboration will also feature a molded hangtag and Bacchus imagery on the footbed, complimenting the supporting apparel collection that’s releasing together with the sneakers.
The Alltimers x Vans Zahba will hit the halfpipes on 31 Jan, and is expected to release on Vans Skate’s website as well as select retailers.
