2022 has been a busy year for Chicago-based creative Joe Freshgoods with seeing consecutive collaborative drops with New Balance, Vans and more. As we look back and indulge in the past releases, an upcoming collaboration with Vault by Vans has already been announced by the Chicago label.

Dubbed “Chocolate Valley Resort”, the collection is based on Freshgoods’ study on the history of the Black travel movement. With aims to educate on Black culture, references in the collection are introduced through a lineup consisting of apparel and footwear.

Focused on a bright color scheme, shades of orange, pink and white are seen on various items, with green being a prominent element on packaging as a reference to past travel guides known as “Green Book”. With co-branded mohair cardigan, puffer jacket, t-shirt and beanie presented in the apparel section, footwear comes in the form of a two colorway variation of the skateboarding label’s classic Sk8-Hi silhouette.

Set to release globally on 27th January, the Joe Freshgoods x Vault by Vans “Chocolate Valley Resort” collection is expected to arrive via Vans and selected retailers.
