A Clean, Mean Machine: The New Balance “White Pack”

The M2002R and MS327 now stands at the fore of New Balance’s offerings. The M2002R has gained a steady reputation over the years having been deemed a “New Classic”; while the MS327, although an acquired taste to some, has been gaining favor thanks in large part to the endorsement of its fashion-forward fans.

The MS327 is an amalgam of its contemporaries namely the “320”, “355”, and the “SuperComp”. It’s varied inspirations is the source of its modern, avant-garde silhouette. Despite its divisive design, under the titular “White Pack”, both it and the M2002R are elevated into luxury territory.

The pack incorporates a range of materials typically reserved for its premium catalogue. Suede, synthetic leather, and short-pile Harako leather makeup their construction. Its make is finished off with Noble White, and a well-balanced, controlled hits of black provide contrast and a dynamic touch.

Both its build and color palette work in tandem to summon a a sense of luxury, at the same time a sense of playfulness that perfectly sums up the energy of the cityscape it belongs in.

Raffles for both pairs are currently open on atmos with the winners to be announced on 3 February, 9am, JST. The M2002R will retail for JPY24,200 (~US$187) and the MS327 for JPY19,800 (~US$153).

New Balance has been making moves. Check out another 2-pack working its way out the pipeline: the retrofitted New Balance Cordura 1906R in “Wheat” and “Black”.
