Line

LA-based Bricks & Wood answers New Balance’s call for another collaboration. The sophomore effort will be a followup to last year’s 57/40. Their take on the titular 9060, albeit more subdued in color, embodies the same brand ethos as the first. Balance is in their collaborator’s name, and the South Central company does well to realize it with everything they create: every piece made for men and women, every piece made with high-quality cut & sew workmanship while maintaining their streetwear pedigree.

Light cream makes up most of the shoe’s construction, from the sole unit, suede overlays, and fuzzy fringed laces. The uniformity of all the aforementioned highlights the grey double-mesh base layer underneath. Presiding it is the “N” logo on the profiles, made from smooth leather. Green lays claim on the footbed through the grass graphic imprint, while overlaid with B&W’s branding. The same green accenting the shoe on the segmented build of the midsoles.

Nothing much is known about the pair beyond what’s discernible from the leaked images. While waiting for more information, check out the New Balance 550 “Vintage Indigo”.
