All the Collaborations From the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix

It's lights out and away we go! The inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is just around the corner, and everyone's getting into the glitz and glamour of the event. Here's a rundown of the hottest collaborations coming from the grid.

This weekend, the inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to bring the glitz and glamour of the “pinnacle of motorsport” to Sin City, a grandiose return 41 years in the making.

While the last F1 Las Vegas GP was set in the car park of Caesars Palace, this new and improved circuit will take the drivers down the iconic Las Vegas Strip, as well as the new and viral Las Vegas Sphere (sorry folks, there won’t be any U2 performances this weekend).

Formula 1 has been red-hot both as a sport and as a cultural phenomenon in recent years, thanks to its hit Netflix documentary series Drive to Survive. In fact, according to NBC, US viewership alone topped 1 million viewers on average per race for the first time in F1’s history.

It’s no surprise that the organizers are constantly looking to expand in the US, and have done so via the additions of the upcoming Las Vegas GP as well as the Miami GP last year.

That said, it really does feel like Las Vegas and Formula 1 were made for each other. The world’s largest motorsport and the “Entertainment Capital of the World” collide in an action-packed, star-studded bonanza.

With all the fanfare and excitement driven by the colossal event, a myriad of F1 teams (and even F1 themselves) have taken the opportunity to further stamp their presence in today’s pop culture. From streetwear labels such as Palace and UNDEFEATED to collectible giants Bandai GUNDAM, a big list of brands are set to join in on the action this weekend.

Here’s a quick look at all the collaborations from the inaugural F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix:

1. Scuderia AlphaTauri x Bandai Namco GUNDAM

A List of All the Collaborations for the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix AlphaTauri Gundam

We start with the one that has the entire paddock buzzing—Scuderia AlphaTauri’s one-off event partnership with Bandai Namco GUNDAM. Quite possibly one of the coolest F1 collaborations ever (at least in our opinion), it sees the F1 team and world-famous GUNDAM franchise synergize in a clash of innovation and technology.

Not only will AlphaTauri’s cars be designed with GUNDAM motifs, but two pop-up stores and a ten-foot-tall GUNDAM statue will also be present at the circuit. AlphaTauri’s GUNDAM collaboration is certainly one that race-goers can’t afford to miss out.

2. Alpine x Palace Skateboards x KAPPA

The Las Vegas GP will also see several teams on the race track come up with special one-off liveries, and the one that has streetwear enthusiasts excited is the Alpine x Palace Skateboards x KAPPA partnership.

The BWT Alpine Formula 1 team’s A523 car will see Palace’s namesake applied on the side of the cockpit. But mainly, the three-way collaboration will be represented through an extensive apparel collection produced and designed by KAPPA.

The capsule is mainly themed around Alpine’s race getup, which sees the use of the team’s pink and blue tones throughout the collection together with Palace’s signature camo motif. These will be on sale at the race, and also on Palace’s website as part of their Winter 2023 Week 8 release.

3. A$AP Rocky’s PUMA x Formula 1 Collection

Last month, German sportswear brand PUMA announced A$AP Rocky as their new Creative Director for its Formula 1 division. The rapper is now ready to debut his first collection for the brands, which will be released at the Las Vegas Grand Prix in limited quantities.

This weekend’s race will serve as a preview of things to come from A$AP Rocky’s creativity. No fret if you’re not able to attend the event; select styles will also be put up on PUMA’s website on 17 November. Tap on the link above to enjoy a closer look at what’s coming to Las Vegas.

4. UNDEFEATED x Formula 1

Now, we can’t let the teams have all the fun by themselves, can we? Alongside the aforementioned A$AP Rocky release, Formula 1 themselves have also teamed up with legendary streetwear label UNDEFEATED to produce an exclusive race-ready collection for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Included are co-branded F1 merchandise such as hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, caps, and an assortment of accessories. These are currently available at all UNDEFEATED chapter stores and their online store.

5. Ferrari x Joshua Vides x PUMA

It’s all about nostalgia for the Prancing Horse this weekend. Last week, Scuderia Ferrari unveiled a special capsule designed by artist Joshua Vides.

The collection taps into the legendary team’s racing heritage of the 1970s, mainly comprising Ferrari’s iconic shade of red as well as accents of white. What makes things even more spectacular is the return of its white rear wing for the Las Vegas GP, aptly alongside specially designed race suits carrying the same throwback vibes.

The capsule will include 16 different apparel items, as well as four sneakers—namely the PUMA Suede, RS-X, RS-Trck, and Speedcat Pro racing boots, modelled by none other than drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. It’s currently available via Scuderia Ferrari and PUMA’s online stores.

6. Lewis Hamilton’s +44 x Takashi Murakami

Sir Lewis Hamilton’s +44 label is teaming up with Japanese extraordinaire Takashi Murakami for a second collection. Aptly named “The Vegas Trip”, the expansive capsule will see 27 different apparel doused with Murakami’s signature character, Mr. DOB, along with his celebrated flower motif.

The +44 x Takashi Murakami “The Vegas Trip” collection will drop at the race, as well as on +44’s online store on 15 November.

7. McLaren x Mitchell & Ness

McLaren Racing continues their ongoing partnership with Mitchell & Ness at Las Vegas. The duo’s latest effort comes centered around a classy yet in-vogue collection, highlighted by the fashion brand’s famed Varsity and Satin jackets. They also have Vegas Edition jerseys that come in animal prints, which is one of the wilder pieces from this collection.

You can find them over on Mitchell & Ness’ website, and also at the race via Culture Kings’ activations.

8. Red Bull Racing x Cherry

If streetwear isn’t exactly your cup of tea, the next two collaborations carry a more luxurious vibe while still scratching that Formula 1 itch. Oracle Red Bull Racing was crowned victors of this season for the sixth time two months ago, and with that comes a collaboration worthy of their champion status. You can totally picture Max Verstappen rocking one of these on the grid, right?

Teaming up with local Americana luxury clothing brand Cherry, the collection exudes class and elegance with one of the finest varsity jacket’s you’ll ever see. An exquisite touch of black wool combined with lush brown leather sleeves makes for a delicate touch, while co-branding appears in the form of detailed embroidery.

This, of course, also comes with a champion’s price tag of US$1,200. If that’s not quite your taste, they also have a variety of other apparel items for sale on their website and in-store.

9. Mercedes x IWC Schaffhausen

To round off the list we have a touch of luxury—Swiss watch manufacturers IWC Schaffhausen teamed up with longtime partners Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team to create two exclusive Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41.

No matter which you prefer, both exude elegance on every level, even more so if you’re a fan of Lewis Hamilton or George Russell.

The Mercedes-AMG model in particular takes on the same design cues as its cars, utilizing black mainly throughout the watch with bright turquoise accents. Mercedes’ namesake is also embedded on the caseback, a subtle yet apt touch for the team’s “Official Engineering Partner”.

Special Mention: Mercedes x sacai

This might not exactly be a collaboration with an F1 entity, but since it’s debuting in Las Vegas during the race, we’ll count it anyway.

Not to confuse you, but this late addition to the list sees Mercedes AMG (not the F1 team, but the high-performance division) team up with high fashion Japanese brand sacai. While this might seem surprising at first, Mercedes-Benz as a company is no stranger to fashion crossovers—having worked with the likes of the late Virgil Abloh and Heron Preston for example.

This collaboration sees Chitose Abe’s sacai and Mercedes AMG create a luxury capsule collection fitting for the car’s clientele. The Japanese fashion brand also puts its own spin on the new Mercedes AMG-GT itself, creating a glimmering custom bespoke wrap that’s sure to stand out among the bright lights of Sin City.

You can explore the apparel collection via Nordstrom online. If you’re in the LV vicinity, you can also check it out (alongside the bespoke AMG-GT) at the AMG Speed City until 17 November.

That’s it for our list of exciting collaborations centered around the upcoming Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. If you’re interested in any of them, head over to the links within each item, and hold out for the five red lights as the inaugural Las Vegas GP weekend is set to dazzle from 16 to 18 November.
