Sir Lewis Hamilton and Japanese artist Takashi Murakami have unveiled their second collection for Hamilton’s +44 imprint, a followup to last year’s release. Dubbed “The Vegas Trip”, the collection is inspired by this year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix taking place next weekend.

The expansive 27-garment collection features colorful graphics typically Murakami, playing on the relationship between fashion and racing. The designs feature the pop culture icon’s signature character, Mr. DOB, alongside Hamilton’s initials, “LH”. Hoodies, t-shirts, long sleeves, and accessories are all part of the fray.

“It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Murakami’s work and technique,” Hamilton said. “He’s a legendary artist and having the opportunity to work with him for a second time is a dream.”

Murakami reminisces his first time watching Hamilton race at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan last year. “It brought back the feelings I had when I was a university student and was crazy about the races,” he recalls. “I have since been following the F1 Grand Prix again.”

The +44 x Takashi Murakami “The Vegas Trip” collection will be sold at a pop-up at the Wynn Las Vegas, in partnership with NTWRK, 15–19 November. They’ll also be released online at +44’s website.

In other news, the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack surfaces in a “Mocha” colorway.
