While it isn’t the norm for an Energy card to be one of the standout pulls of any Pokémon TCG expansion set, the Luminous Energy card from Crimson Haze [SV5a] bucks this trend. Already highly-regarded by serious players for its gameplay viability and flexibility, Creatures Inc. has reprinted this card in Crimson Haze [SV5a]—but this time in Ultra Rare (UR) form.

Thanks to the glowing holofoil that covers the card’s visual, Luminous Energy certainly lives up to its name. The sparkles surrounding the Luminous Energy symbol pair well with the card’s gold border, creating an aura of glamor and prestige.

Arguably adding to the value of this modern-day version of Multi Energy from the third-generation EX Sandstorm set is the fact that its illustrator has opted to remain anonymous. This gives the card a mysterious vibe which it otherwise wouldn’t have had.

It’s a near-certainty that this card was reprinted with the UR rarity owing to its status among Pokémon TCG players. This card’s capability to serve as any type of Energy card when attached to a Pokémon that’s not equipped with any Special Energy cards has made it a key component of countless decks at all levels of play.

Although this card isn’t out in English yet, expect it to be part of the upcoming Twilight Masquerade [TWM] set.
