Xyz Monsters have often been sought by Yu-Gi-Oh TCG players due to their high level of versatility. When their gameplay viability is combined with high rarity and an appealing illustration, every element to create a great pull comes together. That’s exactly the case with the Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder card from Quarter Century Chronicle side:Unity.

One of the many cards given the special rarity of Quarter Century Secret Rare, this Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder has a visual befitting its in-universe lore. This card is a counterpart to the Super Starslayer TY-PHON – Sky Crisis card and is depicted getting ready to attack it. According to Yu-Gi-Oh’s canon, Super Starslayer TY-PHON – Sky Crisis exists to defeat Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder.

The illustration shows Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder surrounded by a blue glow and emitting intense electric blasts from its vents. That imagery is the ideal representation of the character’s stand against what is in-universe considered to supposedly be its unpreventable fate—as implied by its alternate name: “Negalogia”. The name “Negalogia” refers to the character’s unyielding opposition to the path marked out for it by greater powers.

Gameplay-wise, this card can be played in many decks. It can be Xyz Summoned by using any controlled Xyz Monster as material if an Xyz Monster has battled in that same turn. Since this is a fairly common scenario, this card has as much demand among players as it does among collectors.

This card has not yet been released in English; neither has the rest of the Quarter Century Chronicle side:Unity booster pack.

The latest figures place the retail price of a Quarter Century Secret Rare version of Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder (QCCU-JP182) at 7,300 JPY (~US$48).
