While most people around the world spent 1 April pranking their friends, sneakerheads in Singapore had serious business to attend to. Indeed, there was no time for April Fool’s Day this year, for the “Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth” arrived on the shores of the Little Red Dot.

Over the course of the weekend, thousands from all over the world flocked to Singapore Expo to experience the very first Sneaker Con in South East Asia. It was non-stop sneaker action wherever you looked. From ‘holy grails’ to early samples, vendors and event goers alike brought the house down.

SNKRDUNK is also proud to be part of the historic event. Throughout both days, our booth was jam-packed with attendees eager to check out event-exclusive tees from FACETASM and ANREALAGE, join in on our mega raffles and legit check their shoes through our free authentication services.

Here’s a recap of Sneaker Con SEA through our lens as we reflect on the event.

Our Booth

Alongside the event-exclusive tees, FACETASM and ANREALAGE’s past sneaker collaborations with Nike and Puma were also on display on our walls.

Channel News Asia also came by and filmed an exclusive interview at our booth. The segment ran on local TV channels that Saturday, where we highlighted Singapore as our springboard to expand SNKRDUNK, Japan’s top authentic sneaker and streetwear marketplace, into the regional market.

The People

We also took the chance to interact with thousands of sneakerheads that came through our booth. We managed to greet a few special faces, connected with old friends, and got to know a bunch of new comrades within the community. After all, that’s what sneaker events are for, right?

Local artist extraordinaire Toby, fondly known as tobyato, also pulled up with the “Fluid Heat” ASICS GEL-Lyte III patches, which he custom-designed just for us!

Authentication Booth

Our authenticators were hard at work throughout the convention. Through their careful inspections, the SNKRDUNK appraisal badge was applied to a myriad of sneakers, ensuring that event goers went home assured about their purchases at Sneaker Con.

Grand Raffle

Of course, the highlight of the event for us was none other than the grand raffle draws. On Saturday, we gave away a pair of Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low “White” by Virgil Abloh. This was followed up by the Travis Scott x Fragment x Nike Air Jordan 1 High “Military Blue” on Sunday. Trust us, we were as excited as you were while presenting both pairs on the big stage. Congratulations to the lucky winners of both pairs!

The Booths

Tons of other things were happening in the venue. But what’s a Sneaker Con without looking at the heart of it all: sneakers? Vendors from all over the world came together and showed off their extensive offerings, and we even spotted some cool pairs you might not have seen before too!

We even got to hear and take a look at Staple and Sabotage’s custom Air Jordan 1 High, which was on full display for all attendees.
