You’ve seen clips of it online, the plethora of sneakers—the most-coveted, the most rare of them; the sea of people in the ‘souk’; the finest fits from fans; the presence of legends. Arriving in Southeast Asia for the first time, Sneaker Con will raise the heat in the tropics when it anchors on the shores of Singapore on 1 and 2 April. As part of the cast in the “Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth”, here’s everything you can expect at SNKRDUNK’s booth.

Exclusive Apparel From Cult Japanese Labels: ANREALAGE and FACETASM

Sure, we’re bringing shoes. Of course, we’re bringing shoes, including two we know you’re going to want (we’ll get to that shortly)! But as street culture—all-encompassing—also includes fashion, we’re glad to be the official purveyors of two cult brands straight from our home in Japan.

For the au corant, Kunihiko Morinaga’s ANREALAGE and Hiromich Ochiai’s FACETASM needs no introduction. But if it’s the first time you’re hearing these names, come through, get familiar, and get a piece. The items will feature the very signatures that made them renowned even in the most esoteric circles in fashion. Your sneakers might keep your feet off the ground, but ANREALAGE and FACETASM will elevate you.

ANREALAGE returns to their essence in celebration of their 20th anniversary this year. The brand witfully created a double entendre by preparing graphic logo t-shirts featuring the hallmark patchwork patterns that ‘made their name’. Famous for said patterns, the design will be offered in three colorways. The attractive silhouette balancing the length, width, and shoulder width to expand the range of styling options. Wear it alone or layered, it’s oversized just the way you’d want it.

FACETASM, as the word ‘facet’ in their name suggests, is bringing four multi-faceted designs to the table. Delivered on a black or white tee, each graphic presents a new perspective on their name. How every person’s face has multiple sides, these imprints are not as singular as they seem, engaging the beholder to look a little closer, as they would the people they interact with.

Sneaker Authentication Service

Thousands of shoes will be changing hands among thousands of fans, but only the most ardent of them may have the repertoire to recognize real from replica. That’s where we come in, to provide that discerning eye. Oblige yourself at our authentication table at the convention itself when you come off the trading pit.

Every item may be replicated but our experience cannot. We perform thousands of appraisals at our warehouse daily so our process has been tried and tested. You might lose sleep from excitement after getting a long-desired pair, but you won’t lose any worrying if they’re fake. Two of our authenticators present will see to that. They’ve got your back like a chiropractor.

Two Days, Two Raffles, Two Grails

Time for the pièce de résistance. Our Day Ones know that we’ve done plenty of raffles before but this will be our biggest one yet. It’s a pool with a combined value of over SG$10K, made of only two pairs to be won over two days.

Day 1 (April 1, 7:30pm): Louis Vuitton × Nike Air Force 1 Low by Virgil Abloh “White”

We know it’s April Fools’ Day but we’re not kidding you. We’re putting them up for grabs. It’s almost an apparition to see them in reality these days; they’re value may cost a third of one’s annual salary; and a posthumous rerelease if ever, simply won’t compare to its predecessor.

They’re unattainable even to most of the bourgeoisie but winning these, won’t just be owning a luxury good, or a high-value commodity, it would be owning a piece of history tethered to the legacy of the most consequential designer in the contemporary age.

Day 2 (April 2, 5:30pm): Travis Scott × Fragment × Nike Air Jordan 1 High “Military Blue”

The epitome of a ‘grail’. It’s the perfect storm. It’s like Walter White’s product with chemical equilibrium; the purest coal for the locomotion of the ‘hype’ train. Relative to its low top counterpart, they’re even more reclusive.

Travis Scott and the AJ1 have been like Jordan and Pippen, Shaq and Kobe—a lethal duo. Adding Phil Jackson as Fragment, it turned the franchise to a legacy, and the legacy to a dynasty. Years down the road their mythic status will only grow, more and more out of reach.

You’ve nothing to lose with everything to gain. Taking part is free. For a ticket, all you have to do is download our App, follow us on Instagram (@snkrdunk_int), and tag us in a Story of our Sneaker Con booth. To qualify for another, just make a purchase or list an item for sale in the App between 27 March to 2 April. To double your chances, a purchase at our booth will entitle you to two raffle tickets!

[BONUS] Jeff Staple x Mr. Sabotage

If you didn’t skim past the opening paragraph, you’d have seen we mentioned “the presence of legends”. It seems one makes an appearance at every Sneaker Con iteration, and the inaugural SEA leg is no exception with the luminary Jeff Staple himself and Singapore’s very own Mr. Sabotage gracing the event.

By now, both parties have announced in their own IG accounts about their arrival, generously going as far as sharing what’s in store for the next chapter of their partnership. Apparel and accessories will be offered but the indubitable highlight will have to be the STAPLE x SBTG Nike Air Jordan 1 High. We’ll all just have to see it then and there, live and direct.

Come 1 and 2 April, the Little Red Dot won’t be so little anymore with the congregation of sneakerheads from the region; the ‘Red’ will be redder from all the fire (shoes) they’ll bring; and the ‘Dot’ won’t just be a dot on the map when the world lay their eyes on the city.
