Earthy Hues Land on the ASICS GEL-Sonoma 15-50 “Future Trail”
Inspired by sand dunes.
ASICS has been on fire lately, churning out hit after hit. Besides highly-acclaimed collaborations, the Japanese sneaker giant also introduced a brand new lifestyle silhouette inspired by the Big Apple, the ASICS GEL-NYC.
Hot on the heels of the GEL-NYC, ASICS has just unveiled two new colorways of its popular trail running model, the ASICS GEL-Sonoma 15-50. Named ASICS GEL-Sonoma 15-50 “Future Trail”, the two-pack draws its inspiration from everchanging sand dunes, coming in a brown “Coffee/Desert Camp” and a neutral-hued “Cream/Oatmeal”.
The Future Trail duo features the same tooling as the first two GEL-Sonoma trail shoes which includes ASICS’ GEL tech in the midsole and a layered heel counter. The USP of the Future Trail shoes, though, is in its unique choice of materials.
Although the GEL-Sonoma 15-50 has its beginnings as an outdoor shoe, here it has been given a contemporary update by way of a tie-dye ripstop mesh upper adorned with hairy suede overlays.
Both Oatmeal and Coffee feature tonal earth hues that draw your eye, yet versatile enough to pull off easily. Weirdly, to complete the pack, ASICS also released a mid-top version in a “Cream/Sand” colorway.
The ASICS GEL-Sonoma 15-50 “Future Trail” sneakers are already available at US$130 on ASICS’ webstore.
