A Nice “Royal Tint” on the Nike Zoom Vomero 5
Nothing sad about the revived model, it's just a little blue.
The Zoom Vomero 5 since late last year have arrived in a barrage of colorways. Previous affects have seen a tonal color palette, at least complementary, like the “Photon Dust”, “Wolf Grey”, and “Wheat Grass”.
This time, a contrast has been put in order. The titular “Royal Tint” stands out across its predominantly Photon Dust base layer. Highlighting the toebox, the heels, and most notably, the profile Swooshes. The rest of the scheme sees a mix of Gridiron; Sail on the laces and midsoles; Chrome on the 3M reflective mudguard and rear overlays; and black lining where the upper and sole unit converge, as well as the outsole underfoot.
Nike’s answer to the “Dad Shoe” trend bears the same hallmarks as the archetype. Double mesh base, aggressive ridged soles, and varying proliferations for breathability. Its typically overdesigned but a controlled mix of colors only elevates its appeal.
There’s no official word as to when this colorway will be released but expect to find them on Nike’s brick-and-click for a price tag of US$160, when D-Day comes to pass. The Zoom Vomero 5 stays winning, especially on the trail of the “Doernbecher” iteration.
Similarly, the incoming Kith x New Balance 993 “Spring 101” might be your cup of tea as well.
