Air Max Day is approaching and with the festivities come special iterations of the icon. Already, Nike has offered us a look of the hitherto unseen Air Max 1 Slide, a fresh inductee in the Air Max Scorpion, and a brand new model in the Air Max Pulse. Presumably in their trail is the currently unnamed, women’s exclusive Air Max 1.

The pair musters a similar energy to last year’s “La Ville Lumière” with its gradient hues. The motif makes another appearance by way of the canvas overlays on the vamp, quarter and heel panels. This time around however, it’s given a nice touch of Bohemia through the painted paisley patterns that traverses through the pastel orange, tea green, and sepia tones.

All the above-mentioned sit atop an off white mesh base. It presides over a suede mudguard that runs through the circumference of the pair.

For its most notable features: There’s the silver badge that takes the place of the tongue tag, the vibrant gradient visible through the translucent outsoles, and the quaint metal charms that adorn the shoe on the lateral heel. The last resembling anklets most commonly associated with the Bohemian counterculture. Holistically, the design perfectly echos the tones of the imminent spring season.

Little is known about this iteration of the Air Max 1 but there’s reason to be optimistic that they’ll coincide with the 26 March celebrations.

When more details arrive, expect to find more updates here at this very page. Till then, why not have a first look at the Nike Dunk Low SE 84 “Year of the Rabbit”. Guess there’s one more yet to emerge from the rabbit hole.
