1. About Nike WMNS Air Max 1 “La Ville Lumière”

The anniversary Air Max 1 celebrates the birthplace of “Air Max”!!

Debuting in 1987, the “Nike Air Max 1,” the origin of the “high-tech sneaker,” was the first to feature the revolutionary Visible Air cushioning system, which is intuitively recognizable. The year 2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the birth of the Tinker Hatfield made the masterpiece, and on March 26th, aka “AIR MAX DAY,” the “Air Max 1” will be unveiled to the world’s most devoted sneakerheads as same as every year.

In conjunction with Air Max Day 2022, the anniversary model “City Of Light” is standing by to honor “Paris,” the city where Air Max has origin. The base colors are urban white and gray. The overlay is made of iridescent material that shines in seven different colors depending on the angle of the light, evoking the beautiful cityscape of Paris, also known as the “City of Light”. The text “LA VILLE-LUMIÈRE (City of Light)” is engraved in French on the sole and insole of the clear rubber sole. Also special shoe box and metallic charms featuring the Swoosh and “AM 1” are also included, making this a collector’s item worthy of celebrating the 35th anniversary.
