[Update 10 Mar 2023] In addition to the monochromatic “White/Black” 9060, there’s also an alternate “Black/White” that has emerged.  They’re construction differ a little from each other,  particularly on the overlays where the former sees a leather make, the latter suede. They’re currently roaming the market already in some parts but a Japan release is scheduled for 16 March. Find them on NewBalance.com with a JPY19,800 or ~US$160.

LINE

The New Balance 9060 is certainly an interesting silhouette. Debuting last year off the back of Joe Freshgoods’ collaboration, the New Balance production line hasn’t stopped pumping out new colorways frequently.

While it hasn’t quite caught on with the usual New Balance fanbase quite as much as its sibling models, the 9060 still has a ton of potential to grow into the limelight. Coming off of two new collaborations with Bodega and Bricks & Wood, the 9060 was recently introduced in a clean earthly palette with the “Grey Matter” colorway. Now, the Boston-based brand is dressing the silhouette in a colorway that’s more central to the current zeitgeist.

Introducing the New Balance 9060 “White/Black”. Given the mainstream popularity of the Nike Dunk Low “Panda” in recent years, it’s no surprise that the simple white and black makeup has found its way over to the king of dad shoes.

The retro-futuristic offering sees the majority of its upper clothed in white, sporting a perforated leather base while a layer of white leather forms the overlays. Much like the New Balance 550 “Panda”, black is used lightly-yet-prominently across the silhouette, accentuating parts of the toe box, heel and adorning the iconic “N” logo on the mid panel.

An in-vogue aged sail treatment washes over the 9060’s infamous chunky sole, while black once again appears on the outsole underfoot.

While release details are scanty at the moment, expect this upcoming New Balance 9060 “White/Black” to hit New Balance’s shelves in the coming months. Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the latest as soon we get them.
