It wasn’t too long ago that news of the Naruto “Rasengan” x Zion Williamson x Nike Air Jordan 37 was on the way. The New Orleans Pelicans star is clearly a huge fan of both the series and the larger anime genre. So much so that a second Naruto-inspired collaboration is set to release with the aforementioned pair.

The newly revealed Nike Jordan Zion 2 comes in a mismatch of colors, with the left shoe being doused in yellow to represent the series’ main protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki, while the other is dressed in a darker tone of blue, akin to Naruto’s friend-turned-enemy-turned-friend-again, Sasuke Uchiha.

Beyond the obvious color references, this Jordan Zion 2 is also rife with other references to the main characters of the series. Naruto’s side of the clash features his signature markings in his Sage Mode on the lateral side, while the latter shoe showcases Sasuke’s scratched Konohagakure insignia, a reference to his headband that signalled his departure from the Hidden Leaf Village.

Further motifs from the massively popular anime series can be found on the heels and insole. Similar to the design of the uppers, the silver heel overlays display the symbols of the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans respectively. Lastly, the insoles highlight the iconic eyes of both characters, featuring the eye of Naruto’s Nine Tails Sage Mode and Sasuke’s Rinnegan.

It’s a perfect shoe for diehard Naruto fans and definitely fitting for Zion Williamson. Dropping alongside the “Rasengan” Air Jordan 37 on 20th Feb, this upcoming Nike Jordan Zion 2 SP is expected to retail at US$120. Believe It!
