First teased in August 2022,  at least a quarter of a year before its arrival. The titular “Green/Black” colorway is one of two size?-exclusive New Balance 1906Rs, preceded by the “Mindful Grey” that was released last month.

The 1906R stands at the vanguard of NB’s catalogue. All the components that’s made the model beloved are a mainstay in this iteration. Hallmarks that includes the breathable mesh upper, the N-Lock piping on the profiles, and the ABZORB midsoles.

The running-informed pair retains its performance pedigree but these days, sees an elevation in its aesthetic appeal. Part of which is the various overlays with leather residing on the toe cap, mudguard, and quarter. It’s most notable at the heel counter where it transforms into a weaving TPU cage.

Only two colors make up the palette but it’s this uniformity that contributes to its intrigue. As it was on the upper, so it is on on the sole unit. Mint green shares duties with the black, presiding over the midsoles with the latter predominant underfoot.
