[Update 30 Nov 2022] On-feet images have arrived for the predominantly white pair of the Why Not? 0.6, providing a more detailed look at some its tooling. Closeup shots reveal the words uniquely etched in the zipper’s grooves, as well as the traction pad of the outsoles, and the speckled detailing at the forefoot.

A release date’s yet to be disclosed but till then, enjoy the overall look of the Westbrook signature. The shoe is considered muted compared to the former MVP’s past models, so expect more colorways to surface as the NBA season rolls along.

Since joining the second unit of the Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook seems to be experiencing a much-needed revitalization, and his signature line with Jordan Brand seems due for the same. Subtlety has never been in Brodie’s nature on the court, on the media table, his fashion—and lest we forget, his shoes.

The first look at the imminent Jordan Why Not? 0.6 sees his sixth signature shoe arrive as flashy as Tony Stark himself and his Iron-Man suit. Red engulfs the majority of the upper; from the ripstop construction on the topside, to the overlays from the tip to the heel, with the tongue’s surface seemingly made from full grain leather. As above, and so below. The sole unit swallowed by the same shade.

Any information on the performance aspect of the shoe has yet to be disclosed but it doesn’t deviate too much from the traction patterns of his earlier models.

The uniformity of the singular red lends plenty of attention to the hits of yellow across the shoe, first taking the form of the branding elements: Westbrook’s logo on the mudguard and heel tab, the Jumpman on the lateral heel, heel tab and outsole, along with the lightning streak adjacent. The interior of the shoe the same, as well as the zipper masking the lacing system on the underside. The zip further leads the eye to more intricate detailing on the collar.

Further down the image slider is alternate colorway, in a pale white, orange, and black makeup. A release date hasn’t been shared but it should be imminent with the NBA season well-underway.
