Anime Meets Streetwear: A Color-Blocked Tribute to Legendary Power-Ups

Nike is linking up with world-renowned manga and anime franchise ONE PIECE for an epic collaboration that sneakerheads and anime fans won’t want to miss. Taking center stage is the Nike Air Max Plus—a silhouette that originally debuted in 1998 and achieved cult status across global sneaker culture thanks to its signature TPU cage overlay and multi-Air unit cushioning.

About ONE PIECE × Nike Air Max Plus “Devil Fruits” Collection

This upcoming capsule translates the series’ legendary “Devil Fruits”—mystical fruits that grant supernatural powers to whoever eats them—into striking color-blocked footwear. The lineup features three distinct colorways inspired by iconic Devil Fruits in the story: protagonist Monkey D. Luffy’s “Gum-Gum Fruit,” Portgas D. Ace and Sabo’s “Flame-Flame Fruit,” and Trafalgar Law’s “Op-Op Fruit.” A matching apparel collection including jerseys, tees, and hats is also expected to release alongside the sneakers.

Release & Regional Rollout Details

The rollout strategy varies by sneaker. The Gomu Gomu colorway links to a SNKRS poll that launched on 23rd August 2026 and runs through 18th September 2026. Selected participants are set to be notified on 18th September 2026 for a 25th September 2026 pre-order. Meanwhile, China, Mexico, and Australia are expected to receive a standard drop, while Korea gets exclusive access on 25th September 2026.

The Mera Mera pair drops at select retailers across Asia and Mexico beginning 12th September 2026. On the other hand, the Ope Ope colorway is rumored to skip SNKRS entirely, releasing via US and European pop-ups and select retailers on 19th September 2026, with stops in major cities such as Dallas, San Diego, London, and Milan.

Pop-up events are set to begin on 4th September 2026 in Tokyo before traveling globally throughout September. The wider ONE PIECE × Nike Collection is anticipated to launch globally on 25th September 2026 via SNKRS.
