About Nike Air Jordan 12 Retro “Sumo” (Japan Exclusive)
The sneaker arrives in a heavyweight, premium color scheme. It features a black leather upper etched with subtle graphics expected to represent ocean waves, paired with a rich, deep purple that sweeps across the mudguard down to the sole. Metallic gold eyelets and gold Jumpman hardware on the side panels add an elevated touch to the dark palette.
Japanese-inspired details are seamlessly woven throughout the design: the tongue displays a Jumpman logo expected to represent a kamon (traditional Japanese family crest), while the heel graphics are rumored to be inspired by senjafuda (traditional votive stickers). Completing the collector’s package, the sneaker features custom-printed tissue paper and includes a kami-zumo (interactive paper sumo game kit), making it a masterclass in storytelling from box to sole.
