This New Balance 2002R Outshines in Gold and Blue
Is this the most vibrant pair of New Balance 2002R yet?
Amidst a bevy of hype collaborative and inline releases, a pair of New Balance 2002R has managed to stand out for its unusual colorway.
Departing from the classic New Balance grey-and-navy and other neutral tones oft-seen in the 2002R range, the New Balance 2002R “Vibrant Apricot” stands out in a dynamic combo of white, blue and yellow (what NB is calling Vibrant Apricot).
From its yellow and blue mesh to white leather panels to the heel pods underfoot, the gold and blue combo brings to mind the Golden State Warriors, though this is New Balance’s own in-house release. Even the “N” logo on the lateral side features a gold-to-blue color gradient .
Colorway aside, the familiar silhouette and construction of the 2002R returns—premium suede and leather wrap around mesh windows while the sole unit boasts New Balance’s signature ABZORB cushioning with Stability Web Technology.
In other NB-related news, Todd Snyder has reunited with the Boston brand for a new take on the New Balance 327.
