[Pokémon TCG] A Worlds-Themed Promotional Pikachu Card Will Come With GameStop Purchases of Shrouded Fable [SFA] [Release Date: 2 August 2024]

For now, the card will be exclusive to GameStop stores in the US and be bundled with purchases of Shrouded Fable [SFA] products worth US$15 or more.

[Update 6 Aug 2024] It’s now known that this card will be available in Australia as well. As per the Facebook page of Pokémon Global News via Yakup Sahin, a resident of Australia who’s a long-time follower of that page, EB Games stores across Australia will be participating in a similar promotion starting later this week. Further details are yet to come—stay tuned for them.

Additionally, further information about how to obtain the card has been revealed. In additional to US GameStop stores, selected local and online retail locations, including the official Pokémon Center website, will distribute this card bundled with each purchase of Shrouded Fable [SFA] products worth US$15 or more between 2 August and 18 August 2024.

It’ll also be possible to land this card as a participation gift at any official Worlds Celebration event held between 12 and 18 August 2024.

Finally, the English version of this card has been confirmed to be card 190 of the SVP Black Star Promos. No word on the Japanese version is yet out; it’s not even known if there will be a Japanese version of this card at all.

In conjunction with the upcoming 2024 Pokémon TCG World Championships to be held in Honolulu from 16 to 18 August, GameStop stores across the US will distribute a promotional Pikachu card with each purchase of Shrouded Fable [SFA] products worth US$15 or more. This will take place starting from 2 August 2024.

Although neither the card’s image nor number is yet out, it’s known that the card will have the 2024 Pokémon World Championships logo on it. The card will be an alternate-art version of the 2023 Worlds promotional Pikachu card released in Japan and eight other Asia-Pacific countries.

There’s also a possibility that this card will eventually be made available in other regions and via other means. Additionally, this card’s retail price won’t be known until it hits the open market for the first time. Stay with us for more to come.
