LINE FRIENDS Confirms Upcoming NewJeans Pop-Up Events

Featuring album merch, as well as collaborative goods by Takashi Murakami and Hiroshi Fujiwara.


[Update 14 Jun 2024] Though it’s currently unconfirmed whether they will be part of the upcoming pop-up events lineup, Takashi Murakami has officially unveiled images of his latest collaboration with NewJeans.

The collection features a range of member-inspired plush toys and the new Binky Bong-incorporated Murakami Flower plush in various sizes. Stay tuned for further updates.

[Update 30 May 2024] Merch details for the LINE FRIENDS x NewJeans “How Sweet” pop-up event have been unveiled!

The lineup includes an extensive range of fan collectibles such as keyrings, photocards, sticker sets, lightsticks, and more. Additionally, collaborative items include string bags, wallet sets, and plushes by COLLER, as well as a new apparel collection featuring The Powerpuff Girls.

The “How Sweet” merch collection will be available from 5 to 17 June at LINE FRIENDS SQUARE SINSA and LINE FRIENDS SQUARE Online. For more novelty and event specifics, check out the official post here.


In commemoration of the release of their latest single albums, How Sweet and Supernatural, K-pop girl group NewJeans is set to hold pop-up events across South Korea and Japan, once again in partnership with LINE FRIENDS.

Not only will there be album merch sales and special installments themed around their How Sweet and Supernatural albums, but various collaborative merch will also be available at the pop-up stores. This includes adorable lifestyle goods by COLLER, as well as streetwear apparel by renowned Japanese creatives Takashi Murakami and Hiroshi Fujiwara.

The first NewJeans “How Sweet” pop-up event is scheduled to take place at LINE FRIENDS SQUARE Sinsa from 5 to 17 June in South Korea.

Following that, the “Supernatural” pop-up event will occur at LINE FRIENDS SQUARE Myeongdong from 26 June to 10 July in South Korea, and at LINE FRIENDS SQUARE Shibuya from 26 June to 15 July in Tokyo, Japan.

While it’s currently unknown whether other countries will host pop-up installations, LINE FRIENDS has confirmed that the pop-up items will be available globally.
