[ONE PIECE Card Game] Cards From The 3 Brothers of One Piece School Promotional Pack Banned From Tournament Play Outside Japan
The ban came into effect on 12 April 2024 and is linked to the cards' availability rather than their "broken-ness".
BANDAI has banned all three cards from upcoming ONE PIECE Card Game promotional pack The 3 Brothers of One Piece School from tournament play outside Japan until further notice. These cards are promotional versions of Portgas D. Ace, Sabo, and Monkey D. Luffy respectively.
Although interested buyers from other countries are already allowed to pre-order the pack, all orders from abroad must first go through Japan. The pack will first drop in June 2024; however, no official international release details that don’t involve going through Japan in some way have yet been confirmed.
For this reason, until these cards are officially released outside Japan, only ONE PIECE Card Game tournament players in Japan will be allowed to use them. On this matter, BANDAI has also mentioned that it’s actively working on enabling the pack to be released internationally as soon as possible and is targeting the end of 2024 as a potential launch date.
The ban came into effect on 12 April 2024.
