Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Limiter Removal

Whenever any Yu-Gi-Oh TCG card gets a re-release with never-before-seen alternate artwork, that card will be sure to stir interest within the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG community. To take the hype to another level, add in the Quarter Century Secret Rare rarity. Both are the case with the Quarter Century Chronicle side:Pride booster pack’s alternate art version of Limiter Removal.

The alternate-art version of this card references the Yu-Gi-Oh GX anime. In the anime series, Limiter Removal was used alongside Cyber End Dragon—and it’s this scene which the illustration portrays. Cyber End Dragon is itself among the most well-known Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards, thus further increasing the fanbase’s general interest in this Limiter Removal card.

There’s also a bonus for those who enjoy inside references and visual puns. The card’s artwork and effect both allude to the process of overclocking, which enhances a machine’s performance but, at the same time, makes it vulnerable to instability or hardware failure. Similarly, this card powers up Machine monsters before destroying them in the same turn’s End Phase—an effect displayed in the card’s imagery.

This card isn’t yet out in English, as is the case with the rest of Quarter Century Chronicle side:Pride.

One copy of Limiter Removal (Quarter Century Chronicle side:Pride QCCP-JP028) sells for 6,400 JPY (~US$42).
