Shrek was introduced to the world by DreamWorks, Mike Meyers, and Eddie Murphy in 2001. In the two decades since, it has spawned sequels and spin-offs, and has become deeply imbedded in the pop culture zeitgeist.

Largely from the proliferation of earth-toned apparels, Shrek is unwittingly and unadmittedly a fashion icon. Yet, his official debut into the space is just starting, with a Crocs Classic Clog collaboration.

It’s Shrek objectified, with all his most distinctive features finding a place on the footwear. For a start, there’re his ears and nose redesigned as Jibbitz; with the rest of the upper dressed in his iconic slime green, not forgetting the speckled touches as well.

The strap adopts a brown fur finish derivative of Shrek’s usual clothing, while the “S” from the logo appears at the point of attachment, before taking its place on the footbed.

There currently is no firm release date yet but they are projected to arrive sometime within the month for US$60. Stay tuned! More details should surface soon.

Elsewhere, NewJeans ‘Bunnies Club’ merch collection has a release date.
