Style speaks for itself, and that certainly reflects in South Korean Hip-hop artist Sik-K’s collection of sneakers.
Kwon Min-sik, better known by his stage name Sik-K, made his breakthrough in 2015 after making an appearance on the TV reality rap competition series “Show Me the Money 4”. Not only is he known for his incredibly-addictive tunes, his works with labels Off-White, Puma and more have also garnered him much attention from the fashion conscious.
As we anticipate his upcoming show at Drip Singapore this weekend, let’s dive in and take a look at a few of the hype sneakers he once worn throughout his career.
1. Spider-Man x Nike Air Jordan 1 “Origin Story”
One of the most sought-after pair from the “Chicago” family, the Spider-Man x Nike Air Jordan 1 “Origin Story” surprised many with its appearance on-feet by the animated Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse movie’s protagonist, Miles Morales.
Unlike the other “Chicago” counterparts, the pair sports prominent features including its textured leather uppers and icy blue outsoles.
2. Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Phantom”
A Travis Scott x Nike sneaker in a rapper’s collection may not be a surprising sight, but this Air Jordan 1 Low OG SP “Black Phantom” not only shows that Sik-K has a notable collection, but also proves that he has been on the lookout for the latest hype releases.
The iconic reverse Swoosh design and full black low-top construction adds versatility, which perfectly accentuates the monochrome outfit that he was seen rocking on stage.
3. JW Anderson x Converse Chuck 70 Hi “Grid Red”
Considering the popularity of Converse Chuck 70s in South Korea, we’re bound to spot a pair among Sik-K’s collection. Not only has the JW Anderson x Converse Chuck 70 Hi been on the rapper’s rotation, he was also seen in various colorways including the “Grid Black” and “Grid Red”.
4. PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Air Force 1 Low Para-Noise “Korea Exclusive”
The PEACEMINUSONE x Nike series has always occupied a spot on the wishlists of fashion enthusiasts and sneakerheads likewise, thanks to the former’s founder G-Dragon. Taking to Instagram, Sik-K caught the attention of many after sharing images of himself in the coveted “Korea Exclusive” edition of the Air Force 1 Low Para-Noise.
5. Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG “Royal Toe”
A classic silhouette in a classic colorway, the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG “Royal Toe” has proven to be an unwavering staple in a sneakerhead’s wardrobe. The colorway has subsequently been reinvented in numerous silhouettes because of the color-blocking aspects that make the pair stand out.
6. Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High “White”
Probably a dream pair for many sneakerheads, the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High “White” was frequently spotted on-foot by Sik-K during both his official and private schedules. Released exclusively via Europe retailers, the pair was noted to be harder to come by than its “Chicago” counterpart.
Clean white uppers contrasted by the Off-White’s signature quotation marks and zip-tie provides a diverse range of styling options, including the pastel-themed outfit that Sik-K matched with in the above image.
7. Off-White x Nike Air Presto “Black”
Besides the Air Jordan 1 Retro High mentioned above, Sik-K was also spotted in other Off-White footwear including this Nike Air Presto. The collaborative silhouette was first revealed in another colorway as part of the duo’s “THE TEN” series, which was noted to become a blueprint for future sneaker designs following its release.
8. Dior B23 High-Top Sneaker
Among his wide collection of footwear, Sik-K has also shown his love for various luxury selections, with one of them being the Dior B23 High-Top Sneaker.
Constructed in a classic high-top structure, the luxury house’s Oblique motifs and transparent paneling creates a sophisticated aesthetic before a patchwork-effect sole with ‘DIOR’ signatures on the side completes the design.
9. Balenciaga Defender Sneaker
Following the Dior, the South Korean rapper proceeds to show an exquisite taste with the Balenciaga Defender Sneakers. Noted for its extreme tire tread-like outsole design, the oversized footwear definitely makes a statement piece, especially for his live performances.
10. HBX x Starwalk Blue Star
A surprising pick in Sik-K’s collection is this pair of Starwalk. Founded by American rapper and producer Gab3, Starwalk sneakers are something of a mix between the Nike Air Force 1 and the BAPE STA. The “Blue Star” colorway spotted on-foot by the South Korean rapper was also noted to be an HBX-exclusive release.

When asked what sneakers caught his eye when he first stepped into the SNKRDUNK store, Sik-K did not hesitate to point out the striking Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low sitting high on the shelves. And after getting to know the rapper through our exclusive interview, we can’t help but feel that it’s a fitting choice—a bold sneaker for an even bolder and energetic personality.
Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Shadow”
You heard it here—this is Sik-K’s favorite pair of sneakers of all time. More than the Breds, and more than the Royal Blue. This was a surprising revelation after his praise of the brightly-hued Concepts Dunks, but nonetheless a solid choice we’d expect from a seasoned sneakerhead like Sik-K.
