Last week, MARKET teased a new sneaker that fuses the Converse Chuck 70 and Salomon shoes together. Dubbed cheekily as “Salocons”, the shoes sold out almost immediately at their launch last Friday (28 April).

Though not an official crossover, the Random Workshop team at MARKET painstakingly took apart the Converse Chuck 70 and added in details that nodded towards Salomon kicks, transforming it into a weird but familiar-looking monster hybrid. Obvious details include the 3M “MARKET” branding on the lateral side, the tri-color strip found on the tongues of most Salomons, and actual Salomom Quicklace lace lock system. The Salocon also comes with a special hand-drawn Converse shoe box.
