Salomon Reissues the XT-4 in 5 OG Colorways
"An authentic replication of a classic trail model."
Following the XT-6 RECUT pack and taking a break from collaborative releases, Salomon is revisiting another of its hit silhouette—the Salomon XT-4—and honoring the model by dressing it in five iconic OG colorways.
This special Salomon XT-4 OG collection is, according to the French hiking brand, “an authentic replication of a classic trail model, re-edited in its original colorways.” What this means is the original features that made the XT-4 a classic are being brought back—from the full-length Agile Chassis Skeleton to the toggle Quicklace system and the Contagrip outsoles.
The most eye-catching detail, however, is the return of five of the Salomon XT-4’s most identifiable colorways: White, Fiery Red, Black, Vanilla and Lime Green. The first three are already available on Salomon’s webstore, while the “Vanilla” and “Lime Green” colorways are slated to drop soon.
All five pairs also feature a trio of Salomon branding, with the multi-color “XT S/LAB 4” band that runs through the tongue on the forefoot being the most notable.
This Salomon XT-4 OG pack may not contain any of the bells and whistles that some of its younger siblings, such as the updated GORE-TEX-clad XT-6, come with but one thing that it manages to accomplish is to throw us back to the good old days of trail exploration and adventure.
