[Update 14 Jan 2023] A release date has been confirmed! Dime and Merrell 1TRL recently announced that both pairs will be first dropping exclusively on Dime’s website on 14 Jan, while a second release date of 18th Jan sees them dropping at Merrell 1TRL retailers.

“LINE”
Dime has certainly been busy in recent times. Just after releasing a fitness-inspired Workout Plus with Reebok not too long ago, the Montréal-based skateboarding brand is now set to hit the trails together with hiking footwear giants Merrell 1TRL to create a Moab collection.

Taking a first look at the collaboration via their Instagram teasers, the collaboration sees the low-cut variation of the Moab model, acronym for “Mother of All Boots”, dressed in two different colorways—a purple and black mix as well as a near-clad white makeover. While there’s no confirmation of exactly which model these are, from the way the suede overlays are constructed it seems like a Moab 2.

Both models’ materials seem to be kept intact, with a mesh on its underlays and suede on its toe box, tongue and overlay panels. Dime’s branding is featured on the side of the toe box as well as on the yellow heel tabs at the back of the shoe, while Merrell’s branding takes its usual spot in the middle of its Vibram soles.

While we await further release details, you can expect both colorways to drop some time in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned as we’ll keep you updated here once we get more information.
