[Update 9 Jun 2023] With the appearance of more early looks of the CdGH x New Balance 1906R sneakers, release details have started to slowly trickle in too. The collaborative NB 1906Rs will arrive in fall 2023 with a price tag of 46,200 JPY (~US$331). Expect the shoes to drop in two “classic” Comme des Garçons colorways—a black and a white .

It has been an exciting past weekend with Paris Fashion Week as we get to see the latest runways presented by many renowned fashion designers, including Junya Watanabe. Showcasing his upcoming Fall/Winter 2023 collection, a lineup of collaborative footwear by the Japanese designer caught the attention of many.

Once again returning with a familiar partner, the avant-garde master taps sports label New Balance for a latest take on the 1906R and 650 silhouettes. Representing his status as protégé of Rei Kawakubo, Watanabe presents three 1906Rs under the COMME des GARÇONS Homme line. Retaining the original details of the silhouette, an offering of black and white mesh renditions arrives alongside a full black leather constructed pair.

Inputing his namesake on the 650, the silhouette undergoes a premium update on materials in three iterations. Featuring leather, hairy suede and crocodile skin variations, the respective pairs receives a monochromatic color palette makeup on the uppers and soles.

While no official release details are revealed yet, do stay tuned for more updates as the Junya Watanabe x New Balance FW23 collection is expected to arrive for the allocated season.
