After their rugged GORE-TEX-clad New Balance 2002R, BEAMS and New Balance are teaming up  once again. This time around, the duo have turned their focus to the New Balance 2002R Mule.

Essentially a laceless slip-on sandal version of the 2002R sneaker, the 2002R Mule was first introduced to the New Balance community via a Bryant Giles collab. Now, with BEAMS joining the party, the 2002R Mule is given a good clean-up.

The BEAMS x New Balance 2002R Mule appears in an all-white get-up. White mesh is complemented by smooth white leather overlays. Pops of grey can be spotted on the outlines of the “N” logo and the outsoles. The Boston running brand’s ABZORB and N-ERGY technology return on the hybrid sole unit. The only details that nod towards BEAMS is probably the bright orange logo spotted on the grey insoles.

Slated to release on 27 May just in time for the summer weather, the BEAMS x New Balance 2002R Mule will retail for JPY14,080 (~US$104).
