[Update 9 Mar 2023] Alongside campaign images revealed, an official release of the Sequoia colorway via Corteiz has been confirmed for 10 March 7pm GMT. There are no news of a Nike SNKRS drop yet but rest assured we will keep you updated here.

[Update 6 Mar 2023] Recently, Corteiz posted a new teaser campaign video on their Instagram. True to the brand’s wild, guerilla-styled uprising, the campaign video is essentially a non-serious take on how popular their Air Max 95s are. England soccer star Phil Foden also appears in the campaign, marking how big the brand truly has grown in recent times.

Keen viewers will be quick to spot not just one, but two other colorways of the upcoming Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95s. Unfortunately, as of now they remain unnamed and it’s not apparent if they’re part of the release lineup. Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the latest about this exciting drop as soon as we can.

[Update 30 Jan 2023] None official, but new images have surfaced of the collaborative pair, or pairs. Two colorways are seen: one in an olive/green makeup, the other grey/yellow.

Branding elements are scattered with Corteiz’s embroidered on the heel and forefoot of the profiles. Camouflage patterns also proliferate in the interior. Based on these leaks, accompanying them is a dual-branded shoebox as well as a pair of black gloves.

Not much is known about them yet but more information should arrive within the coming weeks. When word gets to us, we’ll get them to you.

LINEIf you’re in London, chances are you probably would have heard of Corteiz, or at least heard about the story of hundreds of people running through the streets of Soho to obtain the brand’s latest pieces. Yes, Corteiz, also known as Crtz, has set London’s youth scene alight since its inception in 2017. The West London-born streetwear brand has become a cult favorite seemingly out of nowhere, from simple graphic tees tees to jackets that even Drake has recently been spotted repping.

To the uninformed, Corteiz might pass off as just another social media fad or a Gen Z trend, but there’s a much deeper meaning to the brand and also a reason why Corteiz has been able to garner such a die-hard following in such a short amount of time. The brand’s founder, only known as Clint or Clint419, started off with screen-printed tees and crewnecks from his bedroom featuring the now-famous Alcatraz logo, a symbolism of the brand’s ethos and message—rebellion against the convention.

Corteiz has always relied on the appeal of mystery and scarcity. For a long period of time, their Instagram page was private, and only select customers were able to access their private site to purchase their limited-run items. The brand also has a knack for unconventional marketing ideas, giving rise to the brand’s ethos and enigma. It’s to no one’s surprise that even when announcing a collaboration with one of the biggest shoe brands in the world, Corteiz chose the most guerrilla yet eye-catching method of presenting it.

On what was seemingly a normal Monday night at London’s Niketown store, Nike’s iconic Swoosh and Corteiz’s Alcatraz logo lit up the storefront on Oxford Street, right in the center of the capital. Almost immediately, photos and videos of the projection were broadcasted on social media, leading to a frenzy from their diehard fanbase. True to the brand’s off-the-grid campaigns, not a single word was posted by either brand until a few hours later, when Nike confirmed the collaboration and Corteiz posted a video on their socials.

It sets the scene for Corteiz to explode onto the global stage, with this partnership marking the streetwear label’s first big commercial collaboration—and what bigger partner could one possibly get? There’s a huge wave of excitement and anticipation as we await further details regarding the upcoming project, and we can’t wait to see what both brands have in store for us.

Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the latest on this upcoming Nike x Corteiz collaboration. In the meantime, check out mastermind and New Era’s latest collection for SS23.
