October is nearing an end which means Halloween is right around the corner! From parties to haunted house-themed activities, there’s a score of things one can enjoy this spooky season. But the most fun part’s got to be none other than dressing up in Halloween costumes. And when we talk about outfits, how can we not talk about footwear?

So, if you are still dwelling on what to wear on the big night, here are our top 10 picks of the best Halloween-inspired sneakers released over the years for you to add to your collection.

1. Neckface x Nike SB Dunk Low (2022)

What’s Halloween without grotesque graphics? Well, this pair of SB Dunk Low’s got you covered as it is filled with Neckface’s graphic works all over the sneaker in the form of patches that are unique and asymmetrically-placed on each side. Skulls, bats, snakes, tombstones—all things horrifying you can think of—can be found on this pair.

2. adidas Dia De Muertos collection (2022)

Sometimes, its not just the appearance but rather the meaning behind the shoes that makes it a pair of kicks perfect for Halloween. In celebration of the “Day of the Dead” event, adidas has offered a two-pair collection which draws inspiration from foods commonly known as “ofrendas”, offered to loved ones who’ve transitioned to the after-life, and also pink sugar skulls. Fans of the gorpcore aesthetic would definitely not want to miss these.

3. Nike Dunk Low GS “Halloween” (2022)

Of course, we can’t leave the kids out on the big night. Despite the lack of grotesque graphics or frightening text, this pair of kids-exclusive Dunk Low is dressed in an on-theme orange-and-black colorway for the occasion. Not to mention the fact that these are 100% wearable on a casual basis, making this a worthy investment for parents.

4. Nike Air Force 1 Low Experimental ‘Halloween” (2021)

Released in 2021, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Experimental “Halloween” drew the eyes of many with its design (literally). While still being a classic pair of AF1, it was given a spooky update as ghastly eyes filled up a transparent layer wrapped around the shoe, as though they were trapped beneath the upper. What’s even better? The shoe glows in the dark too.

5. Nike Dunk Low PRM “Halloween” (2021)

A pretty subtle pair but the Nike Dunk Low PRM “Halloween” proves to be a pair that lets you stay  spooky and still fashionable for the night. Dressed in a Sail, Black and Starfish color scheme, only when you look really closely will you be able to spot the owl eye detailing on the panels, which glows in the dark along with the outsole.

6. Vans x The Shining Classic Slip-On (2021)

Vans teamed up with Warner Bros for a horror film footwear pack and its definitely not for the faint-hearted, especially with the terrifying “The Shining” twins making their apparition on the uppers. This may be the pair that gives yourself a jump scare when you look down at your feet.

7. Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” (2021)

Being one of the more popular horror installments that Nike has dropped, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” is a perfect example that stays true to its OG inspiration with the use of raw edges on the panels of the uppers. Don’t forget to warn your friends about the ghoulish eyes on the heel tab which glows in the dark, along with the midsole and outsole, because that could be a frightening sight.

8. Nike Lebron 13 “Friday the 13th” (2015)

Another film-inspired pair but this time featuring one of Lebron James’ signature models. The Nike Lebron 13 “Friday the 13th” manages to showcase an explicit contrast with the blood-speckled midsole and white upper. Subtle or loud? IMO this is one of the scariest and coolest pairs to cop.

9. A Bathing Ape Bape Sta Low “Halloween” (2021)

Need a pair for the night but still want to channel the hypebeast inside of you? Then the answer lies with this pair of Bape Sta Low “Halloween”. On top of the debossed spider webbing on the uppers, the iconic Bape logo is also constructed in a spider web form. Lastly, the laces and heel tab also sport an orange color in a shade that’s reminiscent of Halloween pumpkins.

10. Ghostbusters x Reebok Instapump Fury “Slimed Over” (2021)

I’m sure there is one point in life where we all came across the Ghostbusters series. Being one of the most classic films, it’s not surprising for the franchise to collaborate with big labels for a sneaker release. With Reebok, the duo’s offering of the Instapump Fury “Slimed Over” will definitely get you pumped up and ready for Halloween with its bright and striking colorway, and it will certainly capture the attention of others.
