Sneaker Details

Though Aimé Leon Dore’s Teddy Santis is dominating the New Balance buzz with his tonal and earthy colorways on the 550, Junya Watanabe’s COMME des GARCONS HOMME is joining the spotlight with incoming monochromatic New Balance 550s.

As we have seen from CdGH’s collaborations, the brand tends to veer towards simplicity with elevated elements. This holds true in this newest New Balance 550 rework, which surfaced in a “Black” and “White” colorway during the AW2022 collection. Cowhide leather is the material of choice for both. CdGH and New Balance co-branding land on the heels while 550 is marked clearly on the lateral side. The two colorways see a similar sole look: black rubber outsole supporting a creamy white midsole.

Though no official news have been dropped by both COMME des GARCONS HOMME and New Balance, it is likely to launch in October 2022 when fall hits. While we wait with bated breath for this luxe drop, keep scrolling to see more pictures!
