[Update 27 Jul] More news have emerged regarding the latest thisisneverthat® x New Balance project. The 2002R is actually part of a larger capsule that also includes an apparel collection. The shoes remain as the centerpieces with the apparel carrying an array of outerwear, t-shirts, and headgear.

If you’re planning to get a piece of the collection, they’re available online and in-stores from Friday, August 5th or Thursday, August 4th in the US at 9pm ET.

Contemporary streetwear brand thisisneverthat® many Korean “inssa’s” (derived from the English term “insider”) pick for its chic logo apparel. Its popularity in the scene has landed the brand a longstanding partnership with New Balance, which includes a new 1906R model sprouting from their combined creative energies. As the fall season approaches, the duo’s collaborative spirit has culminated in a new colorway for the New Balance 2002R.

Teased by the Korean brand on their Instagram, the latest thisisneverthat® x New Balance 2002R will come in a cool steel gray. Going for a modern look, the usual yellowed sole has been replaced with a pristine white midsole and a mix of blue and grays on the outsole. The upper sees overlay panels in shades of gray along with hits of navy on the toe box and side of the heel. Silver trimming runs along the N logo and on the heels, furthering the contemporary feel.
