Engineered Garments x Tarvas Pay Homage to Japanese Traditions
A playful take on functionality.
Founded in 2017, Tarvas is a Helsinki-based company that focuses on creating products through a functional style statement. With aims of making footwear more authentic and premium, the label returns with New York-based Japanese label Engineered Garments for their second collaborative release.
Marking the debut of the “Forest Bather”, Engineered Garments’ designer Daiki Suzuki looks to the roots of the Helsinki label and also Japanese traditions of forest bathing, a practice of connecting with nature. Deeply reflecting that comes in the form of faux fur materials utilized on the uppers, while a suede base wraps the heel and mudguard areas. Equipped with reflective laces, sturdy rugged outsoles completes the design on the bottom with an added hiking aesthetic.
Available in three colorways—black, brown and navy, cop your pair of Engineered Garments x Tarvas Forest Bather via NEPENTHES website for $277 a pair now.
