Walmart has restricted pre-orders of selected Pokémon TCG products from Black Bolt [BLK] and White Flare [WHT] to buyers who have a paid Walmart+ membership. The items in question are the Elite Trainer Boxes (ETB) and Booster Bundles of each half of the dual set as well as a Poster Collection.

All Black Bolt [BLK] and White Flare [WHT] pre-orders were opened on Walmart’s online store on 18 June 2025 at 9PM EDT.

Products other than the ones on the restricted list can be purchased by anyone, not only those with a paid Walmart+ membership. In addition, non-members will be permitted to pre-order the restricted products from a date yet to be announced if there is any remaining stock.

Walmart’s move is the latest among many notable retailers to curb the efforts of scalpers, in particular those who make use of bots to purchase excessive quantities of Pokémon TCG products.

Black Bolt [BLK] and White Flare [WHT] will be released internationally on 18 July 2025.
