fragment design x Fender Telecaster Collection [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
"It's a model created with the concept of making traditional clothing and furniture rather than making a guitar" – Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Following a commemorative release with the Monster Hunter franchise, Fender Japan is set to offer a fresh take on the iconic Telecaster guitar, this time in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara, the godfather of streetwear, through his fragment design label.
About the fragment design x Fender Telecaster Collection
Priced at 385,000 JPY (~US$2499), the fragment Telecaster is a modern interpretation of the classic 60s Telecaster, meticulously crafted with the distinctive touch of Fujiwara.
Showcasing a luxurious aesthetic, the guitar features an alder body topped with a layer of 6mm-thick rosewood, while the headstock and fingerboard are crafted from rosewood, devoid of dot markers. A “FENDER/FRGMT” logo is reflected on the body top, headstock, and neck plate.
The Vintage Noiseless Telecaster pickups ensure that the unique tonal character of the woods is captured faithfully without unwanted noise. The Modern “C” neck profile, 9.5-inch radius fingerboard, and narrow-tall frets provide exceptional playability. The guitar is completed with an original black tweed hard case and a certificate of authenticity.
To commemorate the release of the guitars, a fragment design x Fender apparel and goods collection will also accompany the release. The lineup includes a range of tees, hoodies, and sweatshirts, as well as guitar straps and picks, priced between 1,100 JPY (~US$7) to 13,200 JPY (~US$86).
