One of the breakout fan favorites introduced in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC The Teal Mask was Perrin. A photographer originally from the Sinnoh region who seeks a picture of the Bloodmoon Beast, Perrin’s character arc was remarkably well-developed for that of a side character and eventually saw her being brought back for The Indigo Disk DLC.

Thus, her depiction on a Special Art Rare (SAR) card in the Crimson Haze [SV5a] Pokémon TCG expansion set was always somewhat expected.

The card’s Full Art illustration features Perrin in a forest in Kitakami, her head slightly cocked as she raises her camera. The holofoil on the card enhances the visual effect of sunlight streaming down through the treetops as seen in GIDORA’s illustration while also accentuating Perrin’s multi-toned hair.

In the lens of Perrin’s camera is an image of a Hisuian Growlithe—a nod to the video games. This is likely the same Hisuian Growlithe that Perrin owns in the DLC. It’s little details like this that add layers to the card and thus drive up its value.

Of course, being a Full Art depiction of a female character, it was somewhat inevitable that this card was going to be a major pull. The illustration doesn’t shy away from this fact at all and in fact plays it up, as proven by the bottom-up angle used as well as the placement of Perrin’s exposed midriff in almost the center of the image.

This card, like the rest of Crimson Haze [SV5a], is yet to be released in English.

A Perrin (Crimson Haze [SV5a] 092/066) card of SAR rarity currently goes for 11,000 JPY (~US$73).
