[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Harpie’s Feather Duster Gets a Visual Glow-Up (Quarter Century Chronicle side:Pride QCCP-JP127)
Although this is an alternate artwork card, it's the artwork itself driving the value uptick instead of the card's status as such a card—which is the usual.
It’s usually the case that a Yu-Gi-Oh TCG with alternate artwork has a far higher value than that of the original version. After all, such cards often end up being prized for their novelty factor; they’re also usually much rarer than the version bearing the original illustration. However, in the case of Harpie’s Feather Duster card, it’s the artwork itself rather than the card’s status as an alternate artwork card that makes a major difference.
A Harpie herself can be seen unleashing the card’s titular spell—she wasn’t present on this card’s original artwork. As is often the case, the mere presence of a female character as part of the illustration serves to jack up the value of this card from the Quarter Century Chronicle side: Pride set.
This card, like many others released in conjunction with the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s 25th anniversary, has the rarity of Quarter Century Secret Rare. Additionally, this card that destroys all of the opponent’s controlled Spells and Traps is one of the most powerful in the game—so much so that it’s on Konami’s restricted list.
This card is yet to be released in English.
As of the latest numbers, the retail price of a Quarter Century Secret Rare Harpie’s Feather Duster (Quarter Century Chronicle side: Pride QCCP-JP127) card is 10,000 JPY (~US$66).
