[Pokémon TCG] Prefer Scarlet Version? Then Check Out Professor Sada’s Vitality (Ancient Roar [SV4K] 091/066)
Violet version enjoyers in shambles right now.
When the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games were released, one notable feature lay in the fact that the regional professor of Paldea differed between games—Professor Sada in Scarlet and Professor Turo in Violet. While the Future Flash [SV4M] expansion set featured the Professor Turo’s Scenario card, its value does not even approach its counterpart from the Ancient Roar [SV4K] set—Professor Sada’s Vitality, in particular its Special Art Rare (SAR) form.
Let’s get the obvious out of the way first. The very fact that Sada is a woman while Turo is a man naturally boosts the Sada card’s desirability, considering the general demographics of people who are into the Pokémon TCG. This card’s value has absolutely nothing to do with people’s preference for the Scarlet version—if one among the general public even exists at all.
The illustration gives off a vibe befitting that of a regional professor. Sada is depicted poring over research while a Pawmi, Lechonk, and Smoliv flank her. The gentle art style used emphasizes the professor’s deep connections to her beloved Pokémon, adding a layer of depth to the artwork’s narrative.
This card has been released as card 256/182 of the Paradox Rift [PAR] expansion set in English.
One copy of a Professor Sada’s Vitality (Ancient Roar [SV4K] 091/066) SAR card sells for ¥5,280 (~US$35).
