[Update 25 Jan 2024] Official visuals of the Nike KD 4 “Year of the Dragon 2.0” have just surfaced. Alongside the shoe, special accessories—a thematic charm and a dustbag—packed within a special shoebox will be part of the release in February.

Twelve years after its original release, the Nike KD 4 “Year of the Dragon” makes a triumphant return as “Year of the Dragon 2.0” in February 2024, reigniting the spirit of this zodiac sign. This marks another addition to the thematic series, following an Air Jordan 1 Low SE, Nike Dunk Low, and others.

The “Year of the Dragon 2.0” diverges from its predecessor’s cool tones, embracing a more earthy, subdued color scheme. The sneaker is predominantly dressed in shades of Khaki and Sesame, with a TPU-reinforced ripstop base layer enhancing its durability. Adding to its distinctiveness are the lockdown straps, showcasing a woodgrain-like pattern and a prominent Noble Red Swoosh.

What truly sets this sneaker apart is the dragon motif, intricately embroidered onto the medial ankle. This feature weaves a tale of the Year of the Dragon, blending tradition with modern sneaker culture. The design is completed with a striking Gum Yellow rubber sole, ensuring that this sneaker is as functional as it is aesthetically appealing.

Releasing at select Nike Basketball retailers and on Nike.com, the KD 4 “Year of the Dragon 2.0” will be available in men’s sizes for US$150.
