[Update 22 Nov 2022] Official images have surfaced for the Nike Air Jordan 2 OG “Chicago”. Set to release on 30th December, it will be made available in family sizing via Nike SNKRS for a retail price ranging from $55 to $200.

[Update 6 Sep 2022] Fresh images of the Air Jordan 2 “Chicago”, complete with its OG packaging, Wings hangtag and booklet, have surfaced, courtesy of sneaker enthusiast Sean Collard. The sneakers arrive in the white box wrapped with Wings logo that longtime Jordan fans are familiar with.

The hangtag and booklet pictured were replicated from the originals from 1987, with the booklet detailing the specs of the Air Jordan 2 and Nike’s patented Airsole technology—a breakthrough innovation at that time. With the release date of the AJ2 Chicago approaching, expect more early looks and official photos to emerge in the coming months.

[Update 12 Aug 2022] Arguably the most underrated pair in the entire Jordan Brand catalogue. Overshadowed by its predecessor and its successor, caught in between the groundbreaking Jordan 1 and the trailblazing Jordan 3, although it’s just as versatile stylistically. You be the judge with these new on-feet look. The pair has a drop date set for December 30 for US$200. It will come in its OG packaging with the Wings logo hangtag and booklet.

LINEThe absolutely popular Air Jordan 2 in the original color is back!!

Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2021, the “Air Jordan 2” has been attracting attention through collaborations such as “Off-White”. The original model debuted in 1986 as the signature of “Michael Jordan,” the top scorer of the same season, and was the only model in the series to be made in Italy. The upper was designed with an emphasis on elegance and luxury, and the boot-like silhouette was constructed with high-quality premium leather. Furthermore, unlike the previous “Air Jordan 1,” the “Nike” iconic “swoosh logo” was removed so that the simple signature “wing logo” would stand out, which was a challenging design at the time and had a major impact on subsequent models.

The original “Chicago” color of the “Air Jordan 2” will be reissued in its original specifications. The leather upper is mainly white, reminiscent of the home jersey, with red and black accents. The “Wing logo” on the tongue, “23” on the backside, and the “Nike” logo on the heel and outsole faithfully reproduce the details of 1986, making them worthy of the “OG” name.

The shoes are scheduled to be released overseas during the holiday season of 2022.
