Kanye West and adidas’ Yeezy brand seems to be moving away from the earthy, neutral tones the community is used to seeing. Following May’s announcement of the Yeezy Boost 700 “Hi-Res Red”, we now have leaked images of the upcoming Yeezy Boost 700 “Hi-Res Blue”. The silhouette and textures are the same as its “Hi-Res Red” sibling, but the similarities end at the colours used. The upper uses a mesh underlay in purple, Azure Blue and deep Hi-Res Blue, which is separated by black and light purple suede as well as light blue leather. The differing textures and contrasting colours complement each other to emphasise design lines and make for an interesting, yet aesthetic mix.

As for the sole unit, the chunky Yeezy Boost 700 midsole make use of lighter and darker shades of blue, an orange gradient and black stripe to extend the design down to the herringbone tread. The EVA foam midsole wrapped around full-length adidas Boost cushioning results in maximum comfort, something Yeezys are known for.

There is not yet an official release date for the Yeezy Boost 700 “Hi-Res Blue”, but they are expected to launch on adidas CONFIRMED or Yeezy Supply in August 2022. Stay tuned for more updates.
