The 2002Rs has stood at the vanguard of New Balance’s offerings for awhile now. A favorite amongst its fans and collaborators. Still, its success has been intrinsic thanks to its well-balanced design, and lest we forget, the mega success of the inline “Protection Pack”.

Going into the second half of 2023, its maker is releasing an array of new colorways with three emerging recently through @apolloluo1976. One features a greyscale makeup dressing its multi-material construction of suede, leather, and mesh; the other sees a palette of navy, grey, and beige; and the last, a tonal application of navy and grey, sitting atop a while midsole. A retrofitting has also been implemented, particularly on the mesh base layer. This time seeing a more compact porous.

New Balance haven’t disclosed anything about the pairs in any official capacity but more details and images should emerge in due time. So, stay tuned!
