The Whitaker Group and New Balance are collaborating once again in 2025, launching an inspiring new collection called “Willful Bias For Education”. This initiative focuses on bringing together community, purpose, and design. Going beyond just A Ma Maniére, The Whitaker Group is committed to fostering inclusive retail experiences and expanding access to education.

About The Whitaker Group x New Balance 990v4 & 998 “Willful Bias For Education” Capsule

This new capsule features two iconic Made in USA models: the New Balance 990v4 and the New Balance 998. Both sneakers boast shaggy suede overlays and muted, washed-out colors. Pale mint and various shades of grey adorn the uppers, adding a rugged texture to these classic New Balance silhouettes. The 998 includes vintage cream midsoles for a timeless look, while the 990v4 opts for mint accents and a more unified tonal design.

In a move to extend its message of equity and visibility to younger generations, the 990v4 will also be available in Little Kids’ sizing.

Storytelling is central to this release, as the footwear collection serves as an extension of The Whitaker Group’s women-focused platform, JAIDE. JAIDE will provide an exclusive opportunity to purchase the collection before its general release.

Release Details

Currently, raffles are open across all Whitaker Group stores, including A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB, and Prosper, and will close on 4 August 2025. A special JAIDE-exclusive launch is set for 7 August 2025, followed by a wider release on 8 August 2025, both online and in-store. Adult sizes of the sneakers will retail for US$220, and the preschool 990v4 will be available for US$110.
