Garnering praise from professional athletes and fans alike, the Ja 3 is fast becoming one of Nike Basketball’s most talked-about new silhouettes—heralded as a standout both in the Memphis guard’s lineup and across the Swoosh’s wider roster.

About the Nike Ja 3 “White/Coconut Milk”

The Swoosh has been teasing the Ja 3 over the past months, offering glimpses through both official teasers and community leaks. The shoe combines performance-driven features with aesthetics as aggressive as Morant’s play style.

Its upper is crafted from engineered mesh with prominent perforations while providing texture that aligns with Morant’s request for a shoe “that talks before I even lace it up.”

This lightweight construction transitions into a translucent rubber cup sole, offering a clear view of the full-length ZoomX foam midsole, which delivers responsiveness and bounce suited for explosive on-court movements.

Signature elements, such as the distinct scratch-like motifs and a pronounced monogram of Ja’s logo, add to the shoe’s identity. A vertical Swoosh is cleverly employed to create a visual pun, forming the initials “JA” along the side, finished in a high-gloss pitch-black treatment.

The outsole features a revamped traction pattern inspired by Morant’s aggressive crossover moves, designed to provide players with a supportive and grippy experience.

Several colorways for the Ja 3 have been confirmed. Alongside vibrant offerings like the “Max Volume” and “EYBL” packs, a new “Sail/White/Black” edition has recently emerged, first previewed by Instagram user @yyt_snkrs.

This more muted but nevertheless compelling option draws comparisons to the Kobe 6 “All-Star 2.0” Protro released earlier this year, thanks to its two-tone construction and textured upper.

Release Details

Nike’s current launch timeline began in mid-July with the “EYBL” and “NY vs NY” editions, with further versions like “Max Volume”, “Hustle & Flow”, and “Zombie” expected to roll out throughout 2025.

The “White/Coconut Milk” colorway is expected to release around the holiday season or early next year, retailing for approximately US$135.
