By far the most iconic human character of all those introduced in Pokémon’s fifth generation is N. The puppet leader of Team Plasma in the Gen 5 main-series video games Pokémon Black and White, N goes on to rebel against Ghetsis—the true mastermind behind it all—and assist the protagonist in bringing down the Unova region’s villainous team in sequels Black 2 and White 2. Owing to the character’s popularity, it’s no surprise than N was featured on a Special Art Rare (SAR) card from Black Bolt [SV11B].

About Zekrom ex (Black Bolt [SV11B] 174/086)

The N’s Plot card’s Full Art illustration is a close-up of N in the amusement park of Nimbasa City with the Rondez-View Ferris Wheel in the background. The ferris wheel is one of the most well-known locations in the history of the Pokémon video games due to the special cutscenes which take place there—including one which has caused many Pokémon fans to “ship” the protagonist with N (though this wouldn’t exactly be “ideal” for reasons we won’t get into here).

On top of that, N himself is a character who occupies a specific archetype of male character that’s extremely popular with many Pokémon fans. N is also on something of a popularity high among the TCG community after a misprint on the Ultra Rare (UR) N’s Zoroark ex card from Battle Partners [SV9] caused that card to become the set’s biggest chase card. Add those points to the narrative of the card, its detailed illustration, and its high rarity and it’s not surprising that this card would end up one of the biggest pickups of Black Bolt [SV11B] and White Flare [SV11W].

Release Details

This card’s English version will be released on 18 July 2025 as part of Black Bolt [BLK].

The sale price of an N’s Plot (Black Bolt [SV11B] 173/086) card is 28,000 JPY (~US$194).
