Pokémon TCG Regigigas Master Ball Mirror

Although most of the Master Ball Mirror cards in Pokémon TCG set Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] were reprints of previously-existing cards, this wasn’t universally the case. One of the new cards in the set which received a Master Ball Mirror version was the Regigigas card; it’s proven to be a solid pickup not only for collectors, but for serious players as well.

About Regigigas Master Ball Mirror (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 132/187)

Just as is the case with other Master Ball Mirror cards, the Master Ball Mirror version of this Regigigas card has a Master Ball print on its lower half in front of a “cracked ice” holofoil design. The card’s flavor text alludes to the in-universe lore behind the leader of the legendary golems as it mentions how Regigigas created them; this is further alluded to by the card’s illustration which depicts the Colossal Pokémon doing just that.

This card has recently become a key piece in a new variant of the Lugia VSTAR deck. Many Lugia VSTAR deck players have chosen to include Regigigas due to its matchup advantage against the Dragapult ex and Charizard ex decks. This is because its Jewel Breaker attack one-shots the titular Pokémon of both of those decks as they are both Terastallized Pokémon. Ordinarily, Jewel Breaker dishes out a mere 100 damage—a dismal amount for four Energy cards. However—as alluded to by the attack’s name—when used against a Terastallized Pokémon, the attack’s damage output climbs all the way to 330.
